Marathon des Sables 2015

Yes!!!! I am doing it!!! I signed up to run the toughest race on earth, Marathon des Sables (http://www.darbaroud.com/en/#) and decided to chart my journey here. The emotions run the entire gammit, one moment I am excited, then scared, then asking myself, what was I thinking and lastly will I be ready? Everything in me says yes even if I have to crawl over the finish line I am doing this. I have never been one to do the traditional things I like extreme, I like different and I love having a blast. Well today I have decided nothing will keep me from accomplishing this goal. If you want to share this journey with me, come on, let's do this!!!! I am rocking this life of mine.... Lady P

Change

The past months have been a lot of ups and downs with a lot of questions and answers but as I moved through the experiences the one thing that seemed to always be present is change.  Earlier this month as I was flying back from Hawaii I came across a Benjamin Franklin quote: “When you are finished changing you are finished” and it brought about an “aha” moment for me.  That’s it I am not finished, I am alive and kicking and living every moment of my life.  Today let us choose to live our lives and not fight change remembering that change can show up in so many different forms. 

Life definitely rocks!!!

Sunrise and sunsets...

As I look at the sunrise from the top of Stone Mountain in Georgia I am reminded of the number of opportunities that still lay before me....What comes to mind at this moment is my active duty days in the United States Navy. When I worked a 24 hour shift I would go out on the flight line while everyone was inside and watch the sun come up I use to think that was God saying to me, "Here is another opportunity for you"...No matter what I was experiencing I always knew a sunrise was God's way of telling me embrace the future and a sunset meant let it all go...exactly what we are suppose to do at the end of the day.

As long as I could remember I have always loved sunrise and sunsets, it is the essence of all that we do. You gotta love the awesomeness of nature. God really went all out when he created the world....it's amazing.

Breathe

A breath is all that we need to clear our minds, feel better and let it all go. Sometimes it is better to sit back and not say a word, your silence makes the statement you are unable to articulate. Today I choose to breathe and move on... That's all for now.

Behave Yourself

We can definitely behave ourself out of it with discipline and constant action....talking can only go so far we need to act.
